Mr. Lake County

Mr. Lake County

The Mr. Lake County Pageant is a fundraiser for LCTC’s building fund. This is Lake County’s only nonprofit community theater group and has been entertaining audiences for 30 years, all without a permanent place to call home. The funds raised from the Mr. Lake County Pageant will go directly into the Joshua Phillips-Blair Memorial Theatre Fund, the future dream home of LCTC.

On June 22, 2019, John Arslanian became Mr. Lake County 2019-2021. John is the Chef and owner of Fresh and Bangin’ and the new C& E Corner Creamery. John is also the new culinary teacher at Clear Lake High School. John moved to Lake County five years ago from Los Angeles County. He said that his dream job would be owning a bed and breakfast in South Africa with his husband and his dog. John’s favorite food is escargot and foie gras. John enjoys playing darts and collecting antiques like blue glass. The craziest thing that he has done has been cage diving with great white sharks and petting a live cheetah in South Africa. John would like to use his time as Mr. Lake County to spread awareness about child hunger and foster youth here in Lake County. John will serve as Mr. Lake County until 2021.

Online theatre is now a forced frontier. As time progresses in this interesting and introverted period of history, creatives everywhere are scrambling to find a way to keep creating. Here in Lake County, we are no different. Statewide restrictions have changed the face of theatre, hopefully only temporarily. In its fifth year, Shakespeare at the

Acting for Kids!!

Acting for Kids!!

Now that all the students are out of school, it can be a challenge for parents to find resources for making sure their child has a well-rounded education.  The ARTS are an important part of that education. Children use the skills they learn in other areas while they are singing and acting. Think of it
