Joan Holman Memorial Scholarship

Joan Holman Memorial Scholarship

The Lake County Theatre Co. is accepting applications for the Joan Holman Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship deadline is April 1, 2022

This scholarship is geared toward graduating seniors who have been active in theater and/or the performing arts.

This year they will award a $1,000 scholarship to the student they feel is most qualified. If they receive a large number of qualified applicants, a second scholarship may be awarded.

Below are the requirements for applying for the scholarship.

Scholarship Requirements
Applications for the Joan Holman Memorial Scholarship Must Include:

  1. A 500 word essay explaining why theater/performing arts is an important part of your
    life. Please include in the essay which college/university you will attend and how this
    scholarship money will help you achieve your educational goals.
  2. Resume listing all theatrical/performing arts experience (including backstage work).
    Please include dates of productions and roles played.
  3. High School Transcripts
  4. Letter(s) of recommendation
    Due Dates: Applications and essays must be received by April 1, 2022

    *Item 1 (essay) must also be emailed to: michele.chapman@laketheatre.org
    Applicants will be notified with the committee’s decision by April 22, 2022.
