A Virtual Whodunnit Online Program

A Virtual Whodunnit Online Program

Director’s Notes:

With so much seriousness going on right now and with folks tired of being cooped up at home, we wanted something light tonight. We wanted to keep your spirits up and theatre alive.  We chose this show with that in mind and I think you’ll find plenty to laugh about.

I’d like to thank the cast for the work they did to make this show happen.  It’s not easy creating relationships on the spot without the luxury of time together to get to know one another, but they found a way.  Human connection and theatre always find a way.  I’d like to thank Melinda Gill for her hard work behind the scenes as a producer, and Marie Schrader for her tireless efforts filming and editing to make this truly a show.  This process has been an adventure and a departure from what we are all accustomed to and yet, somehow, everyone just ran with it and for that, I am truly grateful.

Whether we come together virtually or onstage we all need laughter in our lives to remind us that life is fun.  Theatre is fun.  For a whole year now, we’ve missed the anticipation of opening night; the camaraderie of rehearsing in person; and, the thrill of performing in front of a live audience.  The energy of performing in front of an audience is palpable and there’s just nothing else like it. In short, we’ve missed YOU!

And, so I say, “Thank you.”  To all of you watching tonight and to all of you who’ve been on the journey with us this past year, thank you for standing by us and supporting our virtual endeavors.  Thank you for helping us to keep theatre alive.  We can’t wait for the day we are all together once again. So keep your peepers peeled for our next production! Larry Richardson, Director

Forced Frontier by John Tomlinson

Forced Frontier by John Tomlinson

Online theatre is now a forced frontier. As time progresses in this interesting and introverted period of history, creatives everywhere are scrambling to find a way to keep creating. Here in Lake County, we are no different. Statewide restrictions have changed the face of theatre, hopefully only temporarily. In its fifth year, Shakespeare at the

Acting for Kids!!

Acting for Kids!!

Now that all the students are out of school, it can be a challenge for parents to find resources for making sure their child has a well-rounded education.  The ARTS are an important part of that education. Children use the skills they learn in other areas while they are singing and acting. Think of it
